The tiny little box fits onto the back of your TV. It is designed for the PHONAK AUDEO B-DIRECT. It can be powered through a standard power lead or directly from the USB socket on your TV. It connects to your TV audio through the optical socket. This means that using a soundbar as well will be tricky.
To pair the hearing aids to the connector is very straight forward. You can then activate the stereo streaming directly to your aids by a button press (on one of your aids) or it can be set to automatic detection – this means as soon as you go near your TV, stereo streaming begins. The streaming sound quality can be fine-tuned to perfection by your audiologist.
The Oticon Connectline 3.0 Dolby works with the OTICON OPN. It connects to your TV audio through the optical socket. The great advantage of this gadget is that it has an OPTICAL OUT & an OPTICAL IN socket. That means a Sound Bar can be incorporated into the system.

A very simple way to solve your TV listening issues. The Avantree Oasis plugs into the USB socket of your TV (for its power) and the Optical socket for its sound. The Oasis makes linking a Bluetooth speaker up very easy. Place your chosen speaker close to you, and your TV hearing is fixed! We can recommend where to source these items. The Oasis costs about £50 and a decent speaker will cost around £40.
The new OTICON CONNECTCLIP has 3 functions. One is to enable stereo music and call streaming from Android phones. Also, it can be used as a remote mic – that might mean that your spouse wears this to allow for direct streaming of voice to aids, Or it could be placed next to a speaker or in the middle of a table. Its third and most interesting use, incorporating a custom-designed Bluetooth dongle, allows for audio streaming from a laptop or desktop PC.
This phone connects directly to your Phonak AUDEO B and V hearing aids (not the DIRECT version). It behaves like a normal phone with other users and requires no set up. For you, the hearing aid user, the sound quality is superb. Your confidence in taking calls will excel.
